The Pushpin Project is an innovative exploration of transforming an everyday object—the pushpin—into a playful, aesthetically pleasing piece of functional art. This project, a collaborative effort with designer Kazuki Guzmán, aims to elevate the ordinary pushpin by integrating unique materials such as paper, leather, and wood, thereby infusing it with character and charm.
Pushpins are often overlooked as simple, utilitarian items. The Pushpin Project seeks to challenge this perception by emphasizing the pushpin's iconic form and exploring how it can be transformed through the use of diverse materials and playful design. By doing so, we aim to create push pins that are not only practical but also delightful to the senses.
