This stool is an experimental exploration focused on the development of traditional woodworking joints. The project began with in-depth research into Danish Modernism furniture, which sparked my interest in creating joinery that serves both functional and decorative purposes. The stool's simple form and natural curves highlight the intricate and complex nature of the joints. Despite its minimalist appearance, the stool is surprisingly strong when the components are precisely cut. However, over time, wood expansion and shrinkage may pose challenges, particularly with the solid wood top, potentially affecting its stability and longevity.
